March 15, 2008I would love to connect with
Ann Crossy, Sherry Church, Anne Hynds, Carol Barlow, and all the others
who missed the last reunion. Please try to make it this summer We had such
a good time.
Concerning the need for a web site backup, I don't have ALL the skills
mentioned in the request but do have some knowledge and a willingness to
learn. If you still need someone, let me know.

I Received this today..Can anyone help her.?
Hi,
I was browsing Anchorage (I was born there in 1962) and came across
your wonderful website! Neither of my parents talk much about their
high school days and I'm not sure if either of them actually graduated
(awkward to ask). My mom was only 17 when I was born so I think she
may have been in the class of 1962. Anyway, I was just wondering if
you knew Rosemary (Toni) Martin or Alan Hyden back in the day? Thanks!
Blessings,
Evonne Hyden Landwehr

Trudy,
We could have wheel chair and walker races? How about a competition on who
is on the most medication?
Maybe we ought to get together in Arizona, it seems a lot of the class
has migrated to warmer climates.
What ever is done, you go girl as always, and never forget this
class always makes it fun!
Miss all..

Dick,
Of course we must have a 45th! We're all getting too old not to get
together at any excuse. I'll see if we can get some people together in the
next few months to do some planning. Do you (or anyone) have
suggestions for dates, activities, or anything?

Richard-
Thanks for all your work on the new website. It looks and sounds
great, with lots of information and memories.
Here's a name for you
from the 1960's. Remember the comedienne Rusty Warren with her risque
material (pretty tame by today's standards). She had a number of
albums in the comedy section of the record stores. She retired to
Hawaii , I met her at a bridge club here, and we have been partners
recently and have done pretty well. She is a very articulate, polite,
and intelligent lady.

Hi Dick ~
Your website update is wonderful, as usual. Good job!! I wish someone
would do that for Class of 64!! It’s just so much fun to go to 63’s
website and reminisce! We did have the best of times, didn’t we?
Allen and I live in
“America” full-time now; Sequim,
WA. April – September (usually October) and Mesquite, NV. October
– March. We just sold our boat in Sitka…we still own some land there
but other than that we’re out of Alaska. It’s still hard for me to
believe.
Allen spent the last 3
winters building an airplane, an RV8, in his hangar in Mesquite and
finished it in March. He flew it up here for the summer and will fly it
back south for the winter. ~ We’re both happy and relatively healthy
and sane; what more can we ask for?
Regards, Leslie (Babinec) Barnett

Thought you might like to add the above information to the class
directory. This was the first time that I was able to find some information
about our Class. I loved reading the information.
I was one of the kids from Elmendorf. I started West in my junior
year when we were on shifts as they finished East. Also went to What was
then Alaska Methodist University for a year. Sally Lauster, Chuck
Norton, Marty Bushue, Patty Fradenberg, Janice Lammers, were some of the
people I hung around with.
I graduated from the University of Michgian College of Architecture and
Design and the School of Education in 1968. I was a graphic illustrator
for 3 years on a federal math project. Then I taught commercial art
for 6 years in the Royal Oak, Michigan schools My master's degree is in
Reading and Language arts and is from Oakland University in Rochester,
Michigan (1988).
I currently teach at a non-traditional high school in Troy, Michigan.
This is my 17 year in the Troy District and I am able to teach in all
five areas that I am certified for - never a dull day! I teach 16-19
year olds who have not been successful before - we call them "high
maintenance", but I love it.
I have been married for 35 years to Russell Danielson. He had to
retire for health reasons, but he was a custom kitchen designer for most of
his career. We have a son Kirk who is 34 (lives in Michigan) and has
two daughters - Lauren 6 yrs old and Megan 4 yrs old. Our daughter Erin
who is 29 (currently lives at Vandenberg AFB in California). Her
husband Ryan is soon to be a Major and they have a son Robert who is 8 and a
daughter Kathleen 4. We can only see them about once a year - so when
we do we SPOIL them.
I can't believe that I am the grandmother of 4! I mean we just
graduated - right?
Please post the information. I would love to hear from anyone that
remembers me.
Sincerely;
"Kelly" that is what OT Beirne and others called me!

Dear Foster
& Trudy:
We were
rebuilding our business after a terrible fire and we just
couldn't break away. But I had such a wonderful time pouring
over the pictures, it was the next best thing to being there.
I was so pleased to see Ken Hinchey at the reunion even though
he graduated a year ahead of us. I would love to see my two
best friends in high school, Sharon Sims and Millie Miller
even though they didn't graduate with us. Susan Koslosky
looked like she'd stepped out of the yearbook and Ben Crawford
was just a bigger better version of himself as was Kerry
Kimura. It was so neat to see the pictures of Glenda Irving,
Beverly James, Carl & Pam Brady, oh I could go on & on. Please
express my gratitude to Dick Trudeau & Carol Wilcox for taking
the time to do all this. It was such great fun looking at the
pictures. l do wish there had been name tags that you could
read on a few folks, because I had trouble figuring out who
was who on some. I noticed that the many of the name tags had
the graduation pictures on them, which was a marvelous idea.
My son is living in Big Lake now, close to his dad, so I will
be coming up to Alaska one of these soon days to visit Lance
and his fiancée Trish. I'm just so sorry we couldn't have done
it during the reunion. We won't miss the next one.
Thanks
again,
Karen Anderson James
P.S. I'm
sending some recent pictures I hope others will do the same.

Great job!
Is there any way I can get a copy of the yearbook? Mine
was destroyed by water damage. Or, can the yearbook be viewed
on the web somehow?
